This course will introduce you to the world of Vocational Education & Training (VET) in Australia and provide you with the knowledge and skills that will enable you to design and deliver training programs, and undertake all aspects of competency based (or criterion referenced) assessment.

Learn how to become a competent trainer by developing your skills in:

  • Understanding nationally accredited Training Packages
  • Developing training programs
  • Adult learning styles & theories
  • One-on-one, group and workplace training and facilitation
  • Competency, or criterion referenced, assessment

The Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAA40404) is the minimum qualification required by the Australian Quality Training Framework, the quality system that every Registered Training Organisation (RTO), TAFE and private, must comply with. It is also highly regarded outside of the VET sector for people working in the corporate Learning & Development environment.
